Take Our Word:

Just because its an intimate wedding doesn’t mean you have to compromise on the details or the extravagance

The Story:

The dazzling intimate wedding of Anita and Rob was an immensely detail driven undertaking from the start.   What was so wonderful about this particular project was the fact that it again proved intimate weddings, which are normally smaller in size, require the same intricate and textured weaving during the planning process than their larger counterparts.  Anita had a lucid vision of how she wanted their special day to unfold. Having both been treated to a relaxing massage, followed by a traditional henna session for Anita’s feet, the couple felt completely calm and rejuvenated by the time they commenced down the steps to the beach where they exchanged vows. A classic Landrover Defender played its role superbly as their African safari themed transportation for the couple shoot in the 2 very different locations: the bustling and colourful city centre followed by a sunset shoot on the beach. The décor for both the ceremony and reception centered on the use of simple indigenous flora mixed with a variety of succulents, all presented organically with silver and hessian contrasts. The reception was held at the sophisticated afro-chic Kensington Place Hotel, situated on the slopes of Table Mountain. A lavish African inspired menu complimented with a variety of Cape Malay flavours was served at an outdoor dinner table set in the tranquil seclusion of this retreat’s lush gardens. Exotic fire dancers ended off the evenings festivities with an exhilarating performance alongside the sparkling plunge pool.
