The Story:
Alyse and Rob pulled off a wedding as bold and adventurous as their personalities with just the right balance of sentimentality and originality. “We wanted to do something fabulous and different but also meaningful.” Each lady received a special pair of ‘flip flops’ which would transport them to the ceremony. The men were handed traditional Yarmulkes. The ceremony was held amongst the lavender fields and Alyse was lead down the aisle by an African children’s choir. Ladies had their feet washed and massaged before receiving back their evening shoes and guests were encouraged to participate in a traditional African drumming circle. Pashminas were handed out as tokens to each ladies. The food served during pre-drinks was vast and showcased Cape traditions in the form of interactive culinary stations. The wedding décor was bold, the flowers opulent, colourful and the music vibrant – a sophisticated cocktail bar kept guests queuing for fantastic cocktails until the morning hours!
