The Story:

Anna and Fabian wanted to celebrate their African heritage and once they had decided on a destination wedding as such – it was easy to settle on South Africa as the location.
Breaking the ice, Anna and Fabian hosted an African inspired BBQ the night before their wedding – to the point where guests were required to appear in traditional African dress which set the tone beautifully for their wedding day.

From the outset, Anna approached Wedding Concepts with a very distinct idea of the style she wanted to portray - her first words being “I would like a mix of art deco flapper style elegance mixed with a modern twist, sofas outside and mirrored furniture with chandeliers.”  And her elegance shone through – from her ceremony setting which had the breathtaking mountains as a backdrop, a crystal adorned canopy and an African choir performing as she walked down the aisle - to the stylish period furniture placed around the pool during pre-drinks and elaborate champagne tower to kick off the early festivities … All this set to the soothing sounds of a Caribbean steel band. Guests were then ushered into the beautifully decorated Historic Cellar with art deco chandeliers, oversized ornate gilded mirrors and contrasts on the tables between Amarylis and pearls!

Being New Years Eve – an exceptionally festive dance party took place after dinner on the Vineyard Terrace in true African style – ending at 03h00…
