The Story:
Neil’s Indian background and Jacqui’s South African roots had to find their excitingly creative expression on their wedding day. Having met in the UK, moved to Belgium and then to Dubai, Wedding Concepts had to blend and showcase their tastes and traditions in the design of their multi-cultural celebration. Crisp whites, greens and fresh local produce (yes – the famous Elgin apples as a seating plan!), played a big part during the ceremony and pre-drinks set against the hills of the Elgin Wine Valley. After enjoying Jazz entertainment and local bubbly, all ladies received Indian bindis and bangles before being ushered into the reception room. Flowers in deep shades of orange, purple and pink, offset by a colourful damask linen and golden table lamps were the focal points on each table. Handcrafted stationery blending modern design and Indian features rounded off the look. From handmade lampshades over the dance floor to exotic Indian cuisine and fire dancers at night – the wedding left no-one in doubt that two cultures & personalities had found each other’s perfect match.
